I have now been living back in west Michigan for 2 years after an 8 year hiatus living in various places across the country and experiencing life (Phoenix, Kansas City, San Jose, CA…).  I've loved every minute of my travels, good and bad, because I've learned many lessons about life and discovered who I am.  Much of this unfolding of self-discovery was helped along by my gurus in Cali, MaDar and Trikaya (www.madartrikaya.com).  I am forever grateful to them.  As a result of their guidance, I have developed a daily practice of meditation which I find is the best tool for awakening to divinity (for me personally anyhow).

I am a musician and a nanny.  I offer a children's music program called Music Together in Grand Haven and Spring Lake, MI and am locally musical in many other ways.  I've played many instruments; trumpet and french horn way back in school band; guitar, keyboards, drums and bass in my classic rock band; didgeridoo for the healing vibrations it emits (great way to begin a meditation…plus it's just great fun) but my favorite instrument by far has been, very simply, my voice.  I love to sing! (and sometimes do too often)  I'm the kind that can think of a song for anything.  I have a great sense of humor, very punny at times (thanks to Charlotte for the term).  I also love logic problems, crossword puzzles, and Texas Hold'em.  Basically I like to challenge my brain. 
 
I am proud of the things I've done.  When looked at individually, they don't seem much, but put together sound like a full life…but I'm not done by far.  There's always more to come:  I've earned my pilot's license, been lead singer in a band, lived around the country, traveled abroad, taught myself guitar and didge, have a handful of songs I've written and many, many more half-written ones…
